Rise Up! is an energetic presentation for elementary students that teaches character education in a fresh new format… an interactive talk show!
RISE UP! will help support your school in creating a caring, cooperative and safe community. Students practice character-building skills by helping hosts Sonny and Joy resolve conflicts in a fun 45-minute show!
Each performance of Rise Up! focuses on a specific topic such as:
Single show productions are available; however we recommend booking a performance series, allowing students to engage in a wide range of character building themes while developing relationships with our hosts, Sonny & Joy. Audiences and characters build connections from show to show that help students become Peaceful People.
The Rise Up! team is on hand to help your school select shows to create an effective program package.
Rise Up! is most effective as a series and can come to your school three times a year over many years. For year one, schools will receive the first series of three shows which will help to introduce the format and characters.

Rise Up! WNY is back on Tour for a second year! - Schools in Western NY can’t get enough of our Elementary Character Education Talk Show for students. After a successful first year of teaching social skills, The Rise Up! Team is back with another season of shows and a brand new team. We are so honored to have new hosts Dash & Joy (played by Buffalo Actors Chris Barbis and Amanda Funiciello) alongside our new stage manager Honey Bitterton (played by Constance Long). Meet the new Rise Up! Buffalo, NY touring cast - Peaceful School Production is so excited to have launched a second touring cast for Rise Up! Meet Buffalo actors Andy Rich, Mary Pat Bielecki & Chris Barbis who, since January 2018, have been bringing hosts Sonny & Joy and stage manager Dash to life for school audiences in the Western NY area.
